SE_Geometrical Architect_Senior

Description: Defence Enigeering is looking for a Geometrical Architect to support projects and customer orders. The role is to support with configuring vehicles according the customer specifications and transport mission. This job shall result in packaging models and chassis drawings. Cooperation internally Volvo is needed as well as with body builders. 5-10 years experience is a must combined with deep truck knowledge along with how the Volvo KOLA + CAD-tools are working. Background check can be required for this position.

General role description

Lead cross commodity geometrical activities to deliver architecture & integration solutions with respect to decided introductions as well as respective compnent/system roadmap. Perform geometrical integration of systems and components as well as geometry assurance. Complete vehicle geometry analysis of weight and dimensions. Deliver prerequisites and balanced solution (geometry, weight, or dimensions) in projects within QDCF. Set the architecture of area of responsibility. Deliver prerequisites and balanced (geometry-, weight- or dimensions-) solution with respect to platform, technology development and project requirements. The scope is the product range cross projects and over time. Secure long term vehicle development towards strategic plan or road maps. Develop processes and tools for increased efficiency. On Senior level applies advanced knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience. - Supporting junior team members and peers- Role model of lifelong learning, sharing knowledge and developing others as a trainer and/or coach - May be digging deeper in own discipline, but is building broader Tshaped profile - Developing influence and working confidently within the wider Volvo Group network - Clear articulation of how he/she is creating value within their part for the TD/BA.
