Temporary Financial Controller within Financial Control and Accounting – Team Volvo Bussar AB

Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) is a global finance organization in Group Finance responsible for securing finance and tax compliance, accounting and financial reporting for most Divisions, Business Areas and Group Functions in Volvo Group. FCA also hosts our Finance global delivery center (Accounting Services) providing qualitative, process efficient, automated finance deliveries. We are a truly global organization with around 1400 highly professional colleagues in more than 50 countries, closely integrated with local business operations.

Position Description

We are looking for a temporary Financial Controller for Volvo Bussar AB for the period August 2026 to March 2027. In this role, you will work closely with the Chief Accountant for Volvo Bussar AB and collaborate with colleagues in Poland and India in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting. Together, you will help secure accurate financial reporting, support the period-end closing process, contribute with analysis and stay up to date on accounting policies and reporting requirements. You are also responsible for driving the annual report process for Volvo Bussar AB and you are the main contact and coordinator for the external audit.

Skills and qualifications:

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field, combined with relevant accounting experience
  • Good knowledge of K3 and IFRS
  • Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel
  • Experience working in SAP or a similar ERP system
  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience
  • Experience from an audit firm is considered a plus
  • Experience from working in a larger company is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritize, take ownership and deliver with a strong sense of commitment
